Lucinda "Cindy" Ludwig
Master of Arts in Higher & Adult Education Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (certified clicker trainer) Cindy is a professional dog trainer who lives in Dubuque with her dogs, Opal and Ginger and cat, Nadia. Besides dog training, Cindy has an interest in the visual and performing arts, including painting, drawing, singing, dance and photography; water sports, especially sailing; and writing. She used to be an avid downhill skier and is a certified sailor, having attended sailing school in Florida. Cindy has had many years of dance and music training and has a special interest in canine musical freestyle and drill team. She has performed with the Badger Kennel Club Drill Team for the past two years in Madison, Wisconsin at the annual Wisconsin Dog Fair at the Alliant Energy Center. Other interests include therapy dogs and service dogs. Cindy and her dog Ginger have been making weekly pet therapy visits to Stonehill Nursing Center for the past four years and Cindy trained her other dog, Opal who was career changed out of a service dog program to be a certified service demonstration dog using clicker training. Cindy is originally from northwestern Ohio near Lake Erie. She has lived and worked as a registered nurse in North Carolina, Texas, Colorado, Wyoming, Kentucky, Missouri, and Wisconsin as well as Iowa and has traveled throughout the United States and abroad. |
